One Brigham Circle

One Brigham Circle - a landmark in neighborhood-based  planning, design and development in Boston.

One Brigham Circle is the result of a ten year collaboration between Mission Hill Neighborhood Housing Services and a wide cross-section of the Mission Hill community.  The centerpiece being a two-year community planning process where neighborhood participants - including residents, businesses and property owners - created a development vision. 

One Brigham Circle is a mixed-use development consisting of approximately 61,000 square feet of retail space and approximately 115,000 square feet of office space.  Current retail tenants include Stop& Shop, Walgreens, Fleet Bank, Citizens Bank and JP Licks.  In the near future several other smaller stores will be added, including a restaurant.  One Brigham Circle will provide employment opportunities for 200 people in the retail stores.  Partners HealthCare Systems occupies the office space for administrative uses for 500 employees. One hundred thirty surface parking spaces serve retail customers and 255 structured spaces within the building serve the office tenant.  Over 100 jobs were created during the construction of One Brigham Circle.

With the completion  of One Brigham Circle MHNHS has implemented the largest mixed-use commercial project in a City of Boston neighborhood in over two decades. One Brigham Circle is a $48 million investment in the center of Mission Hill's commercial district that provides needed retail services, jobs for residents, opportunities for new businesses, passive open space, a neighborhood center, and a new gateway into Mission Hill neighborhood. When it was conceived, the vision for One Brigham Circle at the Ledge Site was a bold plan, perhaps even an impossible dream.  Today, the neighborhood vision is a reality.
